An Australian pub came under fire after making a controversial choice of cheese for a side of garlic bread, leaving one diner stunned by the result.
Sydney student Louis recounted on social media how he ordered a roast dinner with garlic bread at a local pub. Wanting to add cheese for extra flavor, he expected melted mozzarella. Instead, he received something quite different.
"I just got garlic bread from the pub. I wanted to add cheese, spice my life up a little. Add a bit of mozzarella, I hoped. But instead, they just put sliced cheese on it."
His viral TikTok clip showed two pieces of garlic bread topped with single slices of processed cheese. The caption read:
"Charming pub meal has blessed me today, thank you!"
Louis said the garlic bread cost $9, with an additional $2 charge to add cheese. Many commenters expressed shock, calling the substitution of processed cheese for mozzarella a culinary "crime."
Australian diners were stunned when a Sydney pub replaced traditional melted mozzarella with processed cheese slices on a $9 garlic bread side.
