Four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen struggled during sprint qualifying at the Brazilian Grand Prix, describing his Red Bull RB21 as "completely broken" and "undriveable."
Despite Verstappen's issues, Lando Norris claimed pole position for the sprint race in São Paulo, marking his first sprint pole since Qatar 2024 and his first of the season in the 100km format.
A double yellow flag appeared near the end of SQ2 when Charles Leclerc spun his SF-25. This affected Lewis Hamilton, who was unable to complete his lap in time and will start Saturday’s sprint in P11.
"Max Verstappen labelled his Red Bull as being 'completely broken' and 'undriveable' on Friday."
Additionally, Hamilton is under investigation by FIA stewards for a yellow flag infringement during the session.
McLaren capitalized on Verstappen's difficulties, with Norris taking a significant pole position at the Brazilian GP sprint qualifying, while several unexpected performances and rule controversies shaped the lineup.
