Natalie Cassidy has once again addressed her experience of being bullied at school, following previous claims that Paloma Faith was among her bullies. The 43-year-old EastEnders actress previously named Paloma Faith, 44, during a podcast episode, revealing they attended the same secondary school in London, where Paloma was a year ahead.
During an appearance on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again podcast, Natalie suggested her bullying might have stemmed from her early achievements, having joined EastEnders at just 10 years old. She described the soap’s set as her safe place compared to school, where jealousy and bullying were constant.
“There wasn’t anywhere else I wanted to be. Maybe because when I wasn’t there, school was difficult, people were jealous,” she said. “You know, there was bullying that went on. So I always just wanted to be there because it was so fun and I was surrounded by nice people.”
Natalie Cassidy reaffirmed her painful school bullying experience linked to her early TV success, highlighting how the EastEnders set was her refuge from jealous peers, including Paloma Faith.
