North Lincolnshire Unites to Honour the Armed Forces this Remembrance Sunday
North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the armed forces during a remembrance parade and service in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
Parade and Service Details
- The parade will gather outside The Baths Hall from 10:10 a.m. and set off at 10:25 a.m.
- Guests can enjoy tea and coffee at the venue from 9:30 a.m. or join the assembly outside from 10:00 a.m.
- Participants will include serving personnel, veterans, military organisations, and youth uniformed groups.
- The procession will travel along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph outside the North Lincolnshire Museum.
Remembrance Ceremony
The remembrance service will begin at 10:45 a.m., featuring an Act of Remembrance and a two-minute silence at 11:00 a.m., followed by the laying of wreaths. Afterward, the parade will return to The Baths Hall via Vicarage Gardens.
Community Gathering
Following the ceremony, The Baths Hall will remain open to welcome everyone for refreshments and reflection on the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
