A well-known singer-songwriter was banned from a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles following a heated argument with a transgender woman regarding use of the women’s locker room. The gym decided to terminate access for both members involved after the confrontation caused tension.
Tish Hyman, 42, a singer-songwriter from the Bronx, said her membership was canceled after she recorded a dispute with the trans woman she had previously complained about. The video shows Hyman addressing the situation, claiming that she and others had raised concerns about the member, later identified by TMZ as Alexis Black.
“Now he knows how to be a man, right? Stay outta the women’s locker room! We don’t want it.”
“He needs to have his gym membership revoked for that s**t!”
Alexis Black is currently transitioning and taking hormones but still has male genitalia. Black denies ever being fully exposed in the women’s locker room and does not see a problem with her presence there.
Hyman emphasized her right to privacy, stating she had previously reported the member to the gym management. She expressed frustration, saying,
“You can’t get rid of me for this! I’m a woman and I have every right not to want a man in the rest room when I’m naked! There are girls naked in there!”
The gym responded by canceling memberships of both individuals to ease tensions and avoid further conflict.
