A man recently seen in the women’s locker room of a Los Angeles gym has been identified as Alexis Black, formerly known as Grant Freeman. Black is a convicted domestic abuser with a troubling criminal record.
Singer Tish Hyman publicly complained after encountering Black inside the women’s locker room at the Beverly Center Gold’s Gym. She alleged that he exposed himself and harassed women present, including her. Following her complaint, Hyman stated that her gym membership was revoked and she was removed from the facility by police officers.
"#goldsgym terminated my membership after the MAN was escorted out by police. Then had me escorted out by officers afterwards. I left but not before making sure everyone KNEW that they were allowing MEN in the locker room !!!!!" — Tish Hyman (@listen2tish), November 3, 2025
According to reports from the New York Post, Black pleaded guilty in 2022 to an assault that left his then-wife, Alexis Freeman, with a severe jaw fracture requiring surgery.
"Kyle Grant Freeman caused serious physical harm to the victim. The victim suffered a compound fractured mandible, which resulted in her needing surgery."
Black later changed his name and adopted his ex-wife’s first name, Alexis. His criminal history also includes convictions for domestic violence, drug trafficking, and resisting arrest.
