New Jersey hosts the Montreal Canadiens at Prudential Center to open a three-game homestand. The matchup will decide which team becomes the first in the league to reach ten wins this season.
At the morning skate in Newark, center Cody Glass took part in line rushes, signaling his return after missing seven games due to an upper-body injury.
"It was a weird injury to have, it popped out of nowhere," Glass said. "I'm happy to be back with the guys."
Glass confirmed he is fully recovered and expects to play without restrictions. He added that he plans to adjust quickly once on the ice.
Forward Connor Brown, who practiced a day earlier but missed the last two games, did not participate in the morning skate. With Glass back, the Devils can restore the lines that carried them through their recent eight-game winning streak.
Glass returns to his center position on the third line, allowing Dawson Mercer to shift to wing alongside Nico Hischier and Timo Meier. This adjustment eases defensive responsibilities for rookie Arseny Gritsyuk, who will move to the third line.
The Devils welcome back Cody Glass as they seek their tenth win, highlighting his recovery and the team's restored lineup strength before facing Montreal.
