‘Beatles’ Biopics Officially Land Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Fab Four Spouses

‘Beatles’ Biopics Cast Fab Four Spouses

The Beatles biopics have officially cast Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, and Mia McKenna-Bruce as the wives of the Fab Four. They join the film project titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

Roles of the Cast

Each woman was married to a member of The Beatles during the band's peak in the 1960s, representing unique and important figures in the group's history.

“Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right — and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” said director Sam Mendes.

Project Details

The four films will portray the story from the perspective of each Beatle—John Lennon (played by Harris Dickinson), Paul McCartney (Paul Mescal), George Harrison (Joseph Quinn), and Ringo Starr (Barry Keoghan). The narrative follows their rise from unknowns in Liverpool during the early 1960s to becoming the world’s most famous band until their breakup in 1970.

This marks the first occasion that The Beatles and their descendants have granted rights for a theatrical feature film portraying their music and lives.

Linda McCartney (née Eastman) met Paul McCartney in 1967 while working as a photographer.

Summary

The casting completes an ambitious Beatles film project aiming to showcase the band’s story through the eyes of their wives and the members themselves, with full rights clearance for the first time.

Author’s note: This project offers a fresh cinematic perspective on The Beatles by highlighting both the band’s journey and the influential roles of their spouses.
