The Phoenix Suns have yet to see their lineup fully healthy. Both starters, guard Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, have been sidelined for multiple games.
Jalen Green injured his hamstring before the preseason and has missed all regular-season games so far. Dillon Brooks missed the recent game against the Utah Jazz due to a core muscle strain, marking his third consecutive absence.
"It's continuing to evaluate them day-by-day. We haven't had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday, the day in between, more just film and walk through. They've been able to partake in all of that."
Both players joined the Suns as part of the Kevin Durant trade with the Houston Rockets.
Green was ruled out before the regular season began and was expected to be re-evaluated within ten days. However, there is no clear timetable for his debut yet.
"You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It's the same in practice. He's been great the entire time. So he's getting it in here and there and that's really helped him as he's progressed here."
Coach Ott hopes that Green’s game involvement will accelerate once he returns to live action, benefiting from the reps he’s been gaining off the court.
Author's summary: The Suns continue to manage injuries to key players Brooks and Green, with the coaching staff optimistic about their gradual return and integration into gameplay.
