Microplastic Exposure: Seafood Not the Main Culprit

According to new research, people are more likely to ingest microplastics from bottled water and indoor air than from eating seafood.

The study, led by Ted Henry, professor at Heriot-Watt University, and published in Environmental Science & Technology Letters, found that seafood contributes just 1–10 microplastic particles per day, comparable to other foods like chicken.
