The Sacramento Kings will face the Golden State Warriors without two of their leading players. Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine have both been sidelined for Wednesday night’s game due to injuries.
Sabonis, the Lithuanian center, is coping with a rib contusion. He appeared to suffer the injury in the first quarter of Monday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets but still managed to play 37 minutes and post a 13-point, 17-rebound double-double.
LaVine will miss his first game of the season because of lower back soreness. His start to the season has been impressive, averaging 27.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 51.6% from the field and 38.6% from beyond the arc.
“Both stars, Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine, have been ruled out for tonight’s matchup due to injuries.”
Without their two main contributors, the Kings will need other players to step up against a strong Warriors lineup.
The Kings enter their clash with the Warriors short-handed, missing both Sabonis and LaVine, which could test their depth early in the season.
