Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced changes to the waste collection schedule in observance of the Remembrance Day holiday on Tuesday, November 11.

“Household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11,” a Government spokesperson stated.

Collection normally scheduled for Tuesday will instead occur on Wednesday, initiating a temporary roll-over schedule that concludes with Friday’s waste being collected on Saturday.

This week is part of the recycling collection cycle. Recycling pickups remain the same, with the west end served on Thursday and the east end on Friday.

Residents may also take household waste and recyclables to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, which will be open on Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Regular hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. will resume the following day.

More details about Bermuda’s waste and recycling services are available at www.gov.bm/waste or through the “recyclebermuda” social media accounts.
