Tim David hit the longest six in T20 International history, helping Australia post a strong total of 186 in the third T20 match against India in Hobart on Sunday night.
The first T20 was washed out in Canberra, but Australia took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series with a four-wicket victory at the MCG on Friday.
After Travis Head and Josh Inglis were dismissed cheaply, Tim David arrived at the crease and dominated India’s bowlers around Bellerive Oval, reaching a half-century off just 23 balls.
David struck a massive six off Indian spinner Axar Patel that flew down the ground, almost clearing the stadium before hitting the Ninja Stadium sign on top of the David Boon Stand.
This six traveled an estimated 129 metres, the longest ever recorded in T20 internationals and the biggest six logged by Fox Cricket.
Fox Cricket’s Mark Howard commented, “That’s coming into the commentary box! It was nearly in the Derwent (River)!”
Fans can watch the Australia vs India T20I series live and without ad breaks exclusively on FOX CRICKET, available via Kayo Sports.
