Unofficial Local Election Results Released
The unofficial results for the local election have been announced. The winners include Laura Parra and Catherine Gutierrez for city council seats in districts two and three, respectively.
- Laura Parra won with over 7% more votes than the incumbent in district two.
- Catherine Gutierrez won with over 7% more votes than the incumbent in district three.
- Incumbent Municipal Judge Edgar Davalos retained his seat with 62% of the vote. 
- Daniel Krowl retained his seat on the school board with over 60% of the vote.
- Brandy Johnson won the District 2 school board seat with 37% of the vote.
- Joel Nanez won the title for soil and water supervisor in Deming by 4% of the vote.
Both General Obligation Bond questions for the City of Deming and Deming Public Schools were approved by a large margin.
