Panthers to Face Wichita Carroll

The Great Bend Panthers will host Wichita Carroll in a second-round 5A showdown at Memorial Stadium on Friday.

Great Bend football coach Erin Beck stated,

"It's 5A West playoff time. We're at the point where we'll have to play four quarters. Our kids are fresh and ready to go."

Wichita Carroll has a 5-2 all-time advantage over the Panthers, but Great Bend won their first meeting in 2004 with a score of 42-28 and also won in 2006 with a score of 21-14.

The Eagles are run-oriented, led by dual-threat quarterback John Corrigan, who also utilizes designed quarterback runs, and main backfield threat Cooper Herrman.
