CU Buffs Soccer Receives All-Big 12 Selections
The Colorado women’s soccer team has received several awards for their standout season. The Big 12 Conference announced its year-end honors, with the Buffs receiving four first-team selections.
- Hope Leyba was named Forward of the Year
- Jordan Nytes collected her third Goalkeeper of the Year award
- Defender Faith Leyba and forward Jace Holley were named first team all-conference
- Defender Caley Swierenga landed second team honors
- Midfielder Vivi Zacarias landed a spot on the All-Freshman team
Hope Leyba recently scored two goals during CU’s comeback win, increasing her team record total to 21 goals, tied for first nationally. Her 43 points is also a CU season record.
Hope Leyba ranks fifth in program history in career goals (31) and sixth in points (66).
