BlueLinx Acquires Disdero Lumber Company

BlueLinx Holdings Inc., a U.S. distributor of building products, has acquired Disdero Lumber Co. for approximately $96 million.

The acquisition expands BlueLinx's specialty wood product portfolio and strengthens its presence in the Western U.S.

Disdero, founded in 1953 and based in Clackamas, Oregon, distributes premium specialty wood products to nearly all 50 states.

Its products are used mainly in custom homes, decks, and high-end residential and commercial construction projects.

The acquisition follows BlueLinx's opening of a new distribution center in Portland, Oregon, and its previous purchase of Vandermeer Forest Products in Washington.
