Chugach Electric Association has approved the development of a 10-MW solar array on 80 acres next to its power station at Beluga.
The board of directors voted unanimously to approve a $26.4 million investment for the state’s largest solar array yet.
The project would generate power for approximately $89/MWh, comparable to the anticipated cost of gas-powered electricity.
