Galway has recorded the second-highest number of road deaths so far in 2025, with 15 fatalities, compared to 5 in all of 2024.
According to the figures, when analysed per capita, Mayo, Donegal, Roscommon, and Galway have the highest rate of deaths.
- Dublin has had the highest number of road fatalities this year, with 17 deaths.
- One in three road deaths this year have involved people aged 30 years and under.
