The UNC Pembroke Braves football team (7-2, 4-1 Conference Carolinas) will close out their regular season with a game against the Barton College Bulldogs (2-6, 2-2 Conference Carolinas) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
A win would secure a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship game, adding extra significance to the match. The Braves are also looking to achieve their seventh game with over 30 points this season with a strong offensive performance.
Last weekend, the Braves impressed with a 42-10 road win against Chowan, helping to overcome the previous week's loss at North Greenville. According to UNCP coach Mark Hall,
"We just have to play Pembroke football."
The Barton College Bulldogs have struggled to find consistency throughout the season, averaging only 16.5 points per game while allowing 34.4 points.
