Topsoe Launches 500MW Electrolyser Facility in Denmark
Denmark-based energy transition technology provider Topsoe has launched a solid oxide electrolyser cell manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 500MW.
The new site, located in Herning, Denmark, is the company's single biggest investment to date, supported by €94m from the EU Innovation Fund.
The electrolyser stacks will produce green hydrogen, used as a feedstock for ammonia and e-methanol to reduce emissions across industrial sectors.

According to the company, the facility will service up to 10GW of installed capacity at customer sites after ten years, cutting CO2 emissions by 15 million metric tonnes.
