San Jose Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky has not finalized a decision on whether to keep defenseman Sam Dickinson in the NHL or return him to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.
Dickinson, 19, has played eight NHL games and wants to stay with the Sharks. He believes that staying with the team will provide him with more opportunities to learn and grow as a player.
"I think for anybody, being here, you learn more just with everything that’s here,"
"The coaches, the people, and the players, there’s just more to be learned here for anybody."
The decision to keep Dickinson in the NHL past the nine-game threshold would burn the first year of his entry-level contract.
