Power has been restored to thousands of Hydro One customers in Norfolk County, according to the company's online outage map.
A power outage started at about 9:40 a.m. on Friday, impacting more than 26,000 Hydro One customers in Norfolk County. The cause of the outage was an equipment failure, according to Hydro One.
Hydro One crews responded immediately and worked throughout the day to make repairs, restoring power in stages. Some residents in Waterford reported on social media that their power was restored at 4:30 a.m., while other parts of the town had power back on Friday night.
The company's outage site initially estimated that power would be restored by 8 a.m., but the outage map was clear for Norfolk by Saturday morning.
Hydro One crews responded immediately and worked throughout the day to make repairs and restored power in stages.
