AMD suddenly skips game optimisations on Radeon RX 6000 & 5000 Series graphics cards | Club386

AMD Discontinues Game Optimizations for Radeon RX 6000 & 5000 Series

AMD has recently released new drivers for older graphics cards, but surprisingly, game optimizations are only available for newer products, specifically the Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 Series.

The reason behind this decision is unclear, but it's concerning news for owners of older cards, as graphics cards have a limited lifespan.

While AMD hasn’t pulled the plug yet, recent software updates aren’t doing favors to the perceived lifespan of either family.

In contrast, Nvidia continues to support its GeForce RTX 20 and 30 Series, which were released around the same time as the Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 Series.

Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 Series cards are still compatible with the latest Radeon drivers, Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2, but this update marks a significant change.

Author's summary: AMD stops game optimizations for older Radeon RX 6000 & 5000 Series.
