Threads Introduces New Features for Enhanced User Control
Meta has announced the rollout of two new features on the Threads platform, aimed at providing users with greater control over content visibility.
- New "mentions" and "people you follow" filters in the Activity tab, allowing for more precise control over visible replies in the feed.
- A "review and approve replies" option when drafting a post, enabling users to approve replies before they become publicly visible.
These features will be available on the Threads iPhone app and are expected to be introduced on other platforms as well.
Threads, a social media platform competing with X (formerly Twitter), Bluesky, and Mastodon, was launched by Meta in 2023 and has reached 150 million daily active users.
