EA Announces Battlefield RedSec: Free-to-Play Battle Royale for PC
EA has officially announced Battlefield RedSec, a free-to-play battle royale game for PC.
The game takes the familiar Battlefield formula of massive fights, vehicles, and destruction and drops it into a 100-player arena.
True to the series' DNA, destruction and vehicles are at the heart of the action, with features such as:
- Buildings that can be leveled
- Bridges that can be taken down
- Vehicles that can be used for quick escapes or all-out assaults
The game is built on current-gen tech, with system requirements including:
- Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600
- GeForce RTX 2060, Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380
- 16 GB of RAM
- TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot
Note that the game's system requirements mean Linux players, including Steam Deck owners, won't be able to run it natively.
