Experts to Tackle Energy, Medtech in Six New DTIF Projects
Six projects have received a total of €36.9m in funding under the Government's seventh Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund call.
The €500m fund aims to attract top-tier research teams to work on cutting-edge technologies, according to Minister James Lawless, TD.
- The new projects cover critical sectors, including ICT, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.
- One project, 'Qubic', consists of a consortium including Equal1, Dell Technologies, and the Irish Manufacturing Research Centre.

Qubic, with a grant of €13.7m, aims to develop quantum algorithms, hardware, and software to address challenges in energy, climate modeling, advanced materials, and pharmaceuticals.
