The Smartphone for Children that Blocks Porn
A Finnish phone company, Human Mobile Devices (HMD), has developed the world's first smartphone that auto-blocks nude content, aiming to create a safer online space for children.
The Fuse handset comes with a range of parental controls, including:
- Location tracking
- Screen time limits
- App blocking
- Whitelisting of trusted contacts
The first protection tool children can’t bypass
According to HMD, the phone starts as a "brick" with no access to social media or app stores, allowing parents to control access to apps and manage usage via a separate app on their own device.
The key feature of the Fuse handset is its embedding of HarmBlock AI into the phone's operating system.
