Holy Cross Indians Win First-Ever District Title
The Holy Cross Indians have achieved a milestone, winning their first-ever district championship in football with a perfect 9-0 record.
According to Dan Weber, NKyTribune sports reporter, this title is significant, even though the school has previously won a state football championship.
Indeed, the small parochial school from Latonia did win a state football championship, but in a year when the Indians were not district champions.
The Indians secured their title with a 43-6 win over the Ludlow Panthers at Rigney Stadium, with a 36-0 lead in the first half that resulted in a running clock for the second half.
