A Donegal man in his 70s is to stand trial charged with 28 indecent assault charges.
The man, who cannot be named due to a reporting restriction, appeared before Letterkenny District Court on Monday and did not speak during the brief hearing.
He is charged with indecent assault Contrary to Common Law and as provided for in Section 10 of the Criminal Law (Rape) Act 1981, involving three alleged victims.

Detective Garda Emer Hassett gave evidence of charging the defendant, and Sergeant Maurice Doyle stated that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed trial on indictment to the circuit court.
