Bahlil admitted that he has been accustomed to being ridiculed since childhood, but noted that the recent online criticism has crossed into personal territory.

He shared that he grew up in a modest family, with his mother working as a laundry woman and his father as a construction laborer.
Bahlil said, "So being mocked is nothing new to me."
Despite this, he stated that he forgives the meme creators, showing his ability to rise above the personal attacks.
