With rising car prices, many people in the Las Vegas Valley are opting for used cars as an affordable alternative. However, consumer attorneys warn that a "good deal" can end up costing thousands if not done carefully.
A local resident, Marie Sepian, shared her recent car-buying experience. She thought she had found a great deal when she purchased a used 2024 Honda Civic from a small car lot in East Las Vegas.
"This car had 13,200 miles on it and looked in excellent shape," Sepian said. "I asked them if it had been in an accident, and he swore there were no accidents."
However, Sepian later discovered that the car had major structural damage, which the dealer had not disclosed.
