For years, many Chiefs fans had to choose between attending church and watching their team play at Arrowhead Stadium on Sundays. However, in 2014, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt introduced a new concept: a church service at the stadium.
A non-denominational worship service is held every Sunday morning when the Chiefs have a home game scheduled at noon. The Faith and Family Chapel, located next to the southern corner of Arrowhead Stadium, is the venue for this service.
“What started as a simple pregame service has grown into something much bigger,”
said Cedric Hardimon, pastor at Life.Church East Kansas City. Thanks to dedicated volunteers, the Chiefs Chapel has become a meaningful part of the game day tradition for many fans, drawing larger crowds each week.
