Four Oakland County School Districts Awarded Over $6 Million for Electric Buses
The state education department's Clean Bus Energy program has awarded $35.9 million to 23 school districts, including four in Oakland County, to add electric and propane buses to their fleets.
The four Oakland County districts - Ferndale, Southfield, Troy, and West Bloomfield - will receive over $6 million for 16 electric buses.
- The program covers up to 70% of the cost of an electric school bus, charging station, and infrastructure.
