Watervliet Man Found Guilty in Dirt Bike Crash
Austin Breyette, a Watervliet man, has been convicted on all charges related to a dirt bike crash that seriously injured UAlbany student Alexa Kropf.
The crash occurred on Hudson Avenue in May 2024, resulting in life-altering injuries for Kropf, including multiple surgeries.
- Second-degree assault
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Tampering with physical evidence (two counts)
Defense attorney Jasper Mills argued that Kropf was intoxicated and walked into the street with her back to traffic, and Breyette did not have time to react.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours before delivering the guilty verdict.
