Mineral Spring Trail Extension Completed
A new extension to the Mineral Spring Park Trail has been completed, crossing Williams Street and heading towards the Saratoga Oaks subdivision.
The extension is not officially open due to the Veterans Park bridge being closed for repairs.
According to Williamston Mayor Rockey Burgess, the bridge over Big Creek to the Veterans Park is currently closed while the Town works with FEMA to have pilings replaced.
- The Mineral Spring Trail extends from Mineral Spring Park to Veterans Park in one direction.
- In the other direction, it extends along Big Creek to the old water treatment plant, soon to be known as Big Creek Station.
- An unfinished "nature trail" portion of the trail goes on to Minor Street, with plans to eventually connect to the Palmetto Middle School area.
