Great Shakeout: Earthquake Preparedness in California
Millions of Californians will participate in the annual Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill, where they will "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" to practice earthquake preparedness.
The event, scheduled for 10:16 a.m., involves businesses, government offices, and schools across the state. In Oakland, a simulation of intense earthquake shaking will be offered at Frank Ogawa Plaza.
This initiative promotes safety measures during seismic events, led by local and state emergency responders.
