Director Scott Cooper discusses his experience working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper shares that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, which added a new level of pressure to the project.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
However, Cooper notes that Springsteen was not directive, allowing the team to work freely on the film, based on Warren Zanes' 2023 Nebraska-era biography.
According to Cooper, Springsteen was emotionally invested in the project, as evidenced by his reaction to the movie: "Bruce came out of the movie with tears in his eyes…"
