On Tuesday, October 14, flights at Kelowna and Victoria airports were delayed due to a cyber security incident.
The public address systems and screens were hacked, displaying pro-Hamas messages, including "Free Palestine" and curses against the U.S.
"The YLW team has successfully removed the unauthorized messaging," said the airport in a press release.
The City of Kelowna stated that the incident was limited to a cloud-based third-party software provider.
The airport has restored flight information display screens and is working to restore the PA system.
