UC San Diego supporter and friend Hannah Step passed away in September, leaving a remarkable legacy in supporting transformational cardiac research, clinical care and wellness, as well as palliative care, gastroenterology and medical education.
Hannah Step, a philanthropist and supporter of the University of California San Diego, passed away in September, at the age of 93. She made a remarkable impact in multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiac research, clinical care and wellness, palliative care, gastroenterology and medical education at UC San Diego, all with the goal of benefiting patients and their families.
The Step Family Foundation was honored with a Chancellor’s Medal in 2022 in recognition of Hannah Step and her family’s generosity and vision.
