The Winnipeg Jets were defeated 4-1 by the Anaheim Ducks in NHL action on Sunday night, marking their third straight loss.
Leo Carlsson extended his point streak to 10 consecutive games, scoring twice to guide Anaheim to victory. He netted the game-winning power-play goal at 19:03 of the first period and added another power-play goal at 2:47 of the third period.
Carlsson now has 19 points over his last 10 games and is tied for second in league scoring.
The Jets' offense has faltered during their current six-game road trip, scoring only two goals in the last nine periods. Unsurprisingly, Winnipeg’s record is 0-3-0 on this 13-day trip, and their power play has been ineffective, going 0-for-14 in the last four games.
Kyle Connor scored the Jets’ lone goal in the second period, marking his ninth of the season. This goal was the 600th point of his NHL career, placing him fourth all-time in the Jets 2.0 history behind Ilya Kovalchuk, Blake Wheeler, and Mark Scheifele.
Cole Perfetti made his season debut after missing 14 games due to a high ankle sprain.
