Surging Ducks Ground Jets for Seventh Straight Win

ANAHEIM — Rookie Beckett Sennecke scored his first two-goal game, while Leo Carlsson added a pair of power-play goals to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 4–1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night at Honda Center.

The win extended Anaheim’s streak to seven consecutive victories, their longest since the 2021–22 season, when they captured eight in a row. The Ducks are currently the NHL’s hottest team, having triumphed in nine of their past ten matches.

These wins include impressive back-to-back victories against the 2025 Pacific Division champions from Vegas and last season’s Presidents’ Trophy winners. During this dominant run, Anaheim has also defeated the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, a Western Conference finalist, and another 2025 playoff team.

“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,” Sennecke said.

Next, the Ducks travel to Denver to face the Colorado Avalanche in a battle between the league’s top two teams by points percentage.

“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,” Sennecke said.

Carlsson is now tied with Chicago rookie Connor Bedard for second place in league scoring, trailing only Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon.

Author’s Summary
