K-pop Singer Hyuna Collapses on Stage at Waterbomb Festival in Macau

South Korean singer Hyuna, 33, fainted while performing at the Waterbomb music festival in Macau on November 9, 2025. She was in the middle of her hit song "Bubble Pop!" from 2011 when the incident occurred.

Videos on social media showed two backup dancers rushing to her aid before a security staff member carried her off the stage.

Hyuna, formerly part of K-pop groups Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, later addressed fans on Instagram to apologise and reassure them about her condition.

"I’m truly sorry," she wrote in Korean. "It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side."

She admitted having no memory of the fainting episode and expressed regret to fans in Macau who had come to support her.

"I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently," she said. "It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best."

Hyuna’s health concerns after the collapse highlight the intense demands of performing live for K-pop artists.
