Two Drown In Dandenong Creek

A woman and child drowned after falling into a waterway in Dandenong this afternoon. A witness reported that both were swept away after falling into Dandenong Creek near Allan Street at approximately 3:45 pm.

It is believed the woman went to help the child but also got into trouble in the water. Police searched the area, found the unconscious pair, and began CPR immediately.

Despite the emergency services’ efforts, both were declared deceased at the scene. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.
