Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, introducing an all-electric powertrain for the first time while retaining the reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The latest Hilux draws inspiration from the recent Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. The front showcases sleek LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and a bold, closed-off grille prominently displaying the "TOYOTA" badge. The robust bumper enhances its tough appearance with a muscular design, silver accents on the lower section, and LED fog lamps integrated on each side.

Toyota confirmed a hydrogen fuel-cell electric version of the Hilux is scheduled to arrive in 2028.
