Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday

Residents of Derby are invited to take part in this year’s Remembrance Sunday events on 9 November 2025 to honour and remember those who served in the armed forces and emergency services.

The annual parade and service will unite veterans, youth groups, and local organizations in tribute to their dedication and sacrifice.

Event Schedule

10:45am: Parade through the city centre to the Market Place, featuring local veteran and youth organisations accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
10:55am: A short service led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby. A two-minute silence will be observed.
Following the service, wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and representatives of local groups.

Additional Details

The event will also be live-streamed on a large screen in the Market Place for all attendees. The Order of Service can be downloaded in advance for those wishing to follow along.

Although troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not participate this year, several community and veteran groups have been invited as in previous years.
